The Power of Tea

If you are cold, tea will warm you.  If you are too heated, it will cool you.  If you are too depressed, it will cheer you up. If you are excited, it will calm you.
- William Gladstone, English Statesman (1809-98)

Green tea, black tea, white tea, jasmine, chamomile!

Apparently the Chinese have been aware of tea and it's wonderful effects forever, and America is slowly but surely catching on.

I have really been enjoying white tea more recently, choosing it over my green tea.  It gives me a nice boost of energy in the middle of the day.  White tea undergoes even less processing than green tea leaves, offers a nicer aftertaste, has less caffeine, but is slightly pricier.   This tea is packed with antioxidants that can prevent illnesses and promote excellent  health.  Lower blood pressure,  prevent cancers, reduce stress, protect your bones and teeth, and experience a boost of energy drinking white tea daily.

Green Tea, though it consists of more caffeine than white tea, the amount is still far less than a cup of coffee.  This tea can prevent tooth decay, heal a headache, or take you out of depression.  Drink 4 to 5 cups daily to get the best results.

When drinking your tea, be sure to use little to no sugar so not to ruin the effects.  Stevia Raw (all-natural) Sugar, honey, cinnamon, and Agava Netar can be used as natural sweetners.  These all work great if you prefer to give your tea  a hint of sweetness or flavor.

Bonus tips on getting the most out of your pot of tea:

Get healthy glowing skin.  Use your leftover brewed pot of tea as facial toner, pat tea onto dry skin, letting the face absorb all  of the natural antioxidants.

Kelp Powder - Mineral Hair Treatment

View my sea kelp natural hair treatment I tried over the weekend.  It is a simple process that offers great results- shine and additional minerals that are great for the hair.  My concoction included kelp powder, aloe vera juice, and oils.  I decided to use coconut and red palm oil in my mixture, but feel free to use whatever oils work well with your hair- almond, apricot, etc.  Leave the mixture on for 2 to 4 hours.  It's easy to wash out, and the smell is minimal.  The first pic of my hair shows my texture prior to the treatment.  View the sheen and length after treatment.  This is a completely natural home remedy.  Care to learn more about kelp and how it supports hair growth, and the overall body-depending on how you use it.   Check out the link from Herb Wisdom for additional info.   http://www.herbwisdom.com/herb-kelp.html
