Pearly Whites - Natural Solutions

Teeth whitening solutions can be expensive, in addition to being packed with chemicals and unrecognizable ingredients.  To avoid consuming chemicals, and spending big bucks on achieving pearly white teeth, consider these cheap and simple solutions.

Keep in mind that if you have teeth sensitivity, damaged enamel, or any type of mouth disease or infections, it is recommended that you and consult a doctor prior to attempting these remedies.  Some symptoms require professional attention and may be an indicator that something serious is going on.

If you suffer from minor conditions; yellow or brown staining derived from foods, coffee, alcohol, cigarettes, or maybe due to lack of care over the years, than the remedies below might be your long awaited answers.

Oil Pulling:  http://goodformepfm.blogspot.com/2012/11/oil-pulling-simple-detox.html

Pure baking soda and hydrogen peroxide- Mix ingredients into a paste and apply to teeth.  This concoction helps break away stains rids moth of bacteria and odor.

Lemon juice- Drop lemon juice (preferably straight from a lemon) into your toothpaste before brushing.  Or create a paste with lemon juice and baking soda.  Use in place of toothpaste daily for 7 to 10 days, and notice the change in your teeth.   Add a little sea salt to your paste for a deeper cleaning.

Orange and banana peels- Rub orange peel or banana peel directly over teeth in a brushing motion.

Apple cider vinegar- Add a little acv to your toothpaste to remove odor and discoloration

Simple Preventative Tips:

If you're an avid coffee drinker, consider adding milk to your drink.  The milk will offset  the dark
color, and help fight against staining.  It sort of works as a shield.

If milk isn't an option, consider using a straw when consuming dark beverages.

Natural or homemade toothpaste and mouthwash are much friendlier to your mouth than those packed with chemicals.

Lastly, be sure to do the things that cause teeth staining in moderation.

Please share any teeth whitening remedies you practice.  Smile......

Moroccan Red Clay - hair and beauty treatments

Red clay is one of my recent discoveries.  I came across the name numerous times while surfing the Internet, and only read great reviews.  I decided to make a purchase a few months back, and finally put this clay to use. Most of you know that I have tried several clays, and have been satisfied with each one.  I try to keep them on hand and tend to use them more for my hair than for my face or body.  My favorite clays are Indian clay and Kaolin clay.  Simply add water, aloe vera juice, and/or apple cider vinegar, and you've created an instant paste.  The amount of liquid used will of course be based on what you're creating; facial, hair conditioner, foot application, etc. Red clay can also be used on the body, head to toe.  It has been used for centuries- across the world.   Tackle blemishes or create cleaner and clearer skin.  Alleviate acne, discoloration and create youthful skin.  If you are suffering from any of...

Self Care- Make it a Habit

Self care habits in progress. I feel so good when I take time out to treat myself. It pleases me  even more when the practice is inexpensive. Polishing my nails, at-home facial, or sometimes a lengthy shower or bath.  It's extremely important to make time for yourself. I know we hear this often, but self care really promotes mental and physical health. If you're having a rough day, challenging week, or simply feeling  overwhelmed or unenthusiastic about circumstances, I strongly urge you to make time for yourself. I find that I am able to think clearer, and my stress levels are reduced significantly after I practice self care.  Sharing a few self care pics below; at home facial, read book alone in the car, or outside in the sun, make a fun (favorite drink) to enjoy alone, or try an at home mani/pedicure. I also find drawing and painting extremely relaxing. Perhaps you can take a walk or get your heart pumping by exercising. Try slower movements with yoga or pilates....
