Morning Tea, For Your Locks

Okay, I know that I talk about tea, way too much!  But it really is great stuff.

So for my personal uses, I use tea to drink of course, but also for facials and body scrubs, soap bars, air freshener, and teabags for tired eyes.  Now I can honestly say, tea can be used for head to toe purposes.  I have used tea for my hair in the past to add a subtle hint of coloring/highlights.  It also work wonders in using as a hair freshener.

Well here's another tip-  herbal tea hair rinse.  I typically brew the tea, let it sit overnight, and then pour the brewed tea over my entire head.

Side note ****Let it sit on your hair for an hour or longer if you wish to add color

Benefits of a tea rinse:

  • reduce shedding
  • stimulate the scalp and hair follicles, promote hair growth
  • thicken and strengthen hair strands
  • exfoliate dry scalp, minimize dandruff and flakes
  • use as a pre-poo and achieve manageability and less tangles
  • refresh hair, and add subtle scent as well as luster

Self Care- Make it a Habit

Self care habits in progress. I feel so good when I take time out to treat myself. It pleases me  even more when the practice is inexpensive. Polishing my nails, at-home facial, or sometimes a lengthy shower or bath.  It's extremely important to make time for yourself. I know we hear this often, but self care really promotes mental and physical health. If you're having a rough day, challenging week, or simply feeling  overwhelmed or unenthusiastic about circumstances, I strongly urge you to make time for yourself. I find that I am able to think clearer, and my stress levels are reduced significantly after I practice self care.  Sharing a few self care pics below; at home facial, read book alone in the car, or outside in the sun, make a fun (favorite drink) to enjoy alone, or try an at home mani/pedicure. I also find drawing and painting extremely relaxing. Perhaps you can take a walk or get your heart pumping by exercising. Try slower movements with yoga or pilates....
