Pink Himilayan Salt Lamp

Here's another alternative to sleep meds, and a simple (reasonably priced) remedy for a host of conditions you may be suffering from.

The simplicity of the Himalayan pink salt lamps is what makes this product so awesome.  Yes, all it requires you to do is to plug it up.  That's it!  So it's a winner, no-brainer, why-not?, purchase.

Read more on how this lamp can fix your problems below.

So, I've loved mine from day one.  My lamp sits on a nightstand next to the bed.  I close the bedroom and closet doors, with the goal of absorbing as much of the benefits as possible.  One concern you may have with your lamp is the lighting, if you have trouble sleeping in a less-than pitch dark room.  And if so, just use it during the day while you are awake.

The lamp can remove all sorts of 'bad stuff' from the air you breath in your home;  in-door air pollutants, pollen, dust, chemicals and contaminants.  You'll probably notice more restful sleeping, controlled breathing, and an overall change in respiratory concerns.

Because the average salt lamp is the size of a typical table lamp, it's likely that you will need to place your lamp in a smaller place, like your bedroom as I mentioned above, or purchase several lamps to place across your home.  This allows your lamp to really do it's job on your home and body!

Here's a quick list showing you just why you need a lamp(s)

Kelp Powder - Mineral Hair Treatment

View my sea kelp natural hair treatment I tried over the weekend.  It is a simple process that offers great results- shine and additional minerals that are great for the hair.  My concoction included kelp powder, aloe vera juice, and oils.  I decided to use coconut and red palm oil in my mixture, but feel free to use whatever oils work well with your hair- almond, apricot, etc.  Leave the mixture on for 2 to 4 hours.  It's easy to wash out, and the smell is minimal.  The first pic of my hair shows my texture prior to the treatment.  View the sheen and length after treatment.  This is a completely natural home remedy.  Care to learn more about kelp and how it supports hair growth, and the overall body-depending on how you use it.   Check out the link from Herb Wisdom for additional info.   http://www.herbwisdom.com/herb-kelp.html

Me, Myself, and I

Life can be so fast paced, non-stop at times. There are days when I say, 'I'd like to get off this ride and take a break!'  And I will slow down if at all possible, meaning saying no to someone, I can't help, I can't go.  Sometimes it's just necessary for me to check in with myself and realize when too much is too much.  Just two weeks ago, I was laid out on a beach, on an island, alone. No children, no husband, not even a girlfriend.  Just me, my music, and a good book.  It's rare that I get time alone, but I believe it's highly necessary.  I've gotten a few raised eyebrows because I have taken several trips without my children, a few outside of the country.  I don't feel guilty one bit.  I'm certainly not a perfect mother, but I know that quality time is important in my household, along with family fun, activities, and traveling.  Although challenging, stealing alone time really needs to be made a priority.  This time can attribute t...

Savvy Wash

Dishes and laundry are two household tasks that we all know well.  These are chores we picked up on way back in our teen years, if not younger.  You have probably got them down to a science, but how about I give you a few interesting facts and tips that can save time, energy, money, and protect  the environment.  Read on! We have an understanding that using the dishwasher is greener than washing by hand. This is true in most cases, and even more so if you have an energy-efficient dishwasher.  Here are a few suggestions to keep in mind to be even greener and cut costs on your water and electricity bills. Reduce your water consumption: Avoid pre-rinsing and only run full loads.  If you are neat freak and just hate to go to bed with a disorderly kitchen, throw the dishes in the dishwasher and run it once full. Try using the cold-water setting if this is an option on your dishwasher. Also let the dishes air dry, versus using the heat dry option.  The h...
