For the Love of Water- The Cucumber Lemon Water Challenge

Lemons, cucumbers, and mint would be my favorite additives for boring water.  It tastes pretty awesome, and it's considered to be a natural way to detox the body, every morning before you get into your daily routine/habits - dairy, caffeine, meat, stress.

Consuming this morning detox promotes beauty on the outside by protecting and healing our skin.  But in addition to glowing skin, this detox works on tackling those internal issues as well- getting rid of the unnecessary junk in our system.

Food Matters mentions http://www.foodmatters.com the following:

Lemon Water Flushes Out Toxins And Is Extremely Beneficial For The Body

lemon water serves as the perfect ‘good morning drink’, as it aids the digestive system and makes the process of eliminating the waste products from the body easier. It prevents the problem of constipation and diarrhea, by ensuring smooth bowel functions.

Well the same goes for adding cucumber and/or mint to your water.  Here are a few links below, showing you just how effective this easy detox can be.  I can honestly say that it really doesn't get much simpler than this.

Step 1: purchase lemons, cucumbers, and or mint

Step 2: Fill your pitcher with water and add in your items of choice (lemon slices, cucumber slices, and/or mint leaves

Step 3: Let the pitcher sit overnight in the fridge

Step 4: Fill up your glass with 8oz of the water.  Enjoy one cup, or more, daily!

Kelp Powder - Mineral Hair Treatment

View my sea kelp natural hair treatment I tried over the weekend.  It is a simple process that offers great results- shine and additional minerals that are great for the hair.  My concoction included kelp powder, aloe vera juice, and oils.  I decided to use coconut and red palm oil in my mixture, but feel free to use whatever oils work well with your hair- almond, apricot, etc.  Leave the mixture on for 2 to 4 hours.  It's easy to wash out, and the smell is minimal.  The first pic of my hair shows my texture prior to the treatment.  View the sheen and length after treatment.  This is a completely natural home remedy.  Care to learn more about kelp and how it supports hair growth, and the overall body-depending on how you use it.   Check out the link from Herb Wisdom for additional info.   http://www.herbwisdom.com/herb-kelp.html

Me, Myself, and I

Life can be so fast paced, non-stop at times. There are days when I say, 'I'd like to get off this ride and take a break!'  And I will slow down if at all possible, meaning saying no to someone, I can't help, I can't go.  Sometimes it's just necessary for me to check in with myself and realize when too much is too much.  Just two weeks ago, I was laid out on a beach, on an island, alone.
